We keep pace with it.
I saw the SNL VP Debate yesterday, and could not help but laugh (and then laugh some more). I think the best part really was Queen Latifah - I am definitely the control-your-private-life Republicans these days, but having a moderator who wrote a book talking about Obama was the dumbest move possible. There were so many times that follow up questions were needed, but she couldn’t be seen as ‘biased’ Ugh!
We need leaders who are articulate and smart. Being able to pull off a ‘doggone it now’ may make a good friend, but not a good leader.
Cool stuff!
You can now text questions to Sarah Palin - message ‘ASK’ followed by the question (eg: “ASK How are you?) to 69866 and you can see the the message popup here on a digital board.
Letterman reports that after the VP Debate, Bill Clinton called Palin and congratulated her on a great job.
Is it just me or is Clinton basically trying to help the Republican ticket here?
News is coming out that two helicopters have crashed in Northern Baghdad. This happened in the Sha’ab district - a cameraman who was there says that he heard of the sound of shooting followed by an explosive crash.
It’s times like these that I wonder if the carnage that has been caused is missing. Forget death tolls. Forget even the # of people injured. Think of the hopelessness, the collateral damage, and the scars both sides are suffering from.
As a mother I cannot help but feel for such people.
Looks like our favorite broadcast-in-space DJ just got married to Beth Ostrosky. After his previous marriage, I would imagine he would be slightly more careful this time round.
You can find the wedding pictures here.
So the verdict is out - OJ Simpson was found guilty in Las Vegas. He as found guilty for kidnapping and armed robbery.
After the travesty that was his previous trial, I can only say I am glad the bastard is stuck behind bars. Good riddance to bad trash!
I don’t know why people make fun of the Mormons so much. My aunt, who I absolutely adore, became a Mormon after spending five years looking for a religion that made her feel comfortable (all while accepting the fact that she may never find such a religion).
More than anything else, the LDS.org church gives her support and love when she needs it the most. I’m glad for their general conference right now.
